Dwight Howard: You either love his game (and personality) or you hate it. One of the most devastating defensive basketball players in the game and a vacuum for rebounds, Dwight stepped up his offensive game to 20+ points per game for 4 out of his last 5 seasons in Orlando and before he had to give up some shot attempts while playing with top-flight scorers for the first time in his career for the past two seasons.

After working with Hall Of Famer Hakeem Olajuwon one offseason on his footwork and deftness and touch in the post, Dwight has unveiled a whole new bag of tricks for getting his shots in the post. Dwight gets whatever shot he wants to get when he calls for the ball in the post, and has found ways to maintain his efficiency while sharing the shots that go around.

This Signature Workout Program focuses on Dwight’s Best offensive skills, namely:

• Explosive One-Dribble Post Moves

• Spin Moves Off Of Leaning Defenders

• Running Hooks And Baby Hook Shots When Facing Up In Post! • Post Face-Up Shooting

*Always Remember: When you get into your games, you won’t need to have memorized anything from this program. The workouts are designed for you to absorb them into your muscle memory -- all of this Hoop Handbook becomes part of your game’s makeup through repetition.

You will be using this stuff in ways you won’t ever need to plan again. This requires two things from you:

That you commit to putting in the work -- as much as you need, which you need to decide -- to make your skills “automatic”, in that you end up doing moves without premeditation.
That, when game time comes, you stop thinking so much. The physical work has been done. Get into your Mental Zone -- whatever that is and however you need to get into it -- and let instinct take over.

Background on Dwight Howard

Dwight Howard plays for the Houston Rockets and is well-known for being a top-rated player in the NBA. Having had an execptional basketball experience at his high school, Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy, Howard decided to skip college in favor of entering the NBA Draft in 2004. Amazingly he was selected first overall by the Orlando Magic and has had an incredible career ever since. Fulfilling the center position, Howard stayed with the Magic up until 2012 and helped them win three division titles and one conference title during his time with them. He also helped the 2008 US Olympic basketball team win a gold medal as their starting center. 2008 was also a big year for him in another way as he won the NBA Slam Dunk Contest. He was later traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in 2012 and ultimately signed with the Houston Rockets in 2013. Well-known for his faith as well as his basketball skills, Howard has said he wants to raise the name of God in the league and around the world. He has won several awards and recognitions trhough out his career in addition to those previousl mentioned such as being selected for NBA All-Star honors eight times. He has also been on the All-NBA First Team five times and the All-NBA Second Team once. Even more impressive was the fact that Howard was named the NBA Defensive Player of the Year three years in a row from 2009 to 2011. He has also been the NBA rebounds leader in 08, 09, 10, 12, and 13 and was the NBA block leader in 09 and 10. One record that Dwight Howard still holds is the fact that he is still the leading all-time scorer for the Orlando Magic. One record he may not be quite so proud of is the fact that he lead the league in technical fouls with 18 in the 2010-2011 season.
