Heretics

Heretics (1905) is G. K. Chesterton's verdict on the reigning intellectual creeds of his age. Twenty short chapters take on Kipling, Shaw, Wells, George Moore, Omar Khayyám, the Yellow Press, McCabe, the smart and slum novelists, and the Celtic-revival enthusiasts — each as the exponent of a doctrine Chesterton considers heretical to the older orthodoxy of plain Christian humanity. The book is the companion volume to Orthodoxy (1908).
