Ice Cold Control

She walked into a nightmare. A dead body on the floor. A murderer holding a knife…

Actress Fiona Blake wishes this whole thing could just be a scene from one of her shows, but it isn’t. She finds a body in a rundown New Orleans warehouse. But when she brings the cops to the scene, the victim has vanished…

No body. No crime. The trail is ice cold…Time to call in the Ice Breakers.  

John Henry Cook is big, bold, and dangerous—the man doesn’t smile, and he pretty much terrifies Fiona on first sight. But she needs him…because Fiona can’t get the cops to help her. They think she is lying about the dead body, but Fiona knows what she saw. She also knows that someone is hunting her. Stalking her through the streets of New Orleans. She needs help, STAT. She needs…him. 

Correction. The case isn’t just cold. It’s non-existent.  

Her fear is real.  But John Henry doesn’t know who Fiona fears more—him or the murderer who could be on her trail.  While he’s down in New Orleans, he figures that he can kill some time by taking a case, but Fiona isn’t a typical Ice Breaker client. She’s an actress, one in town filming a new TV show, and the cops think she was just trying to create publicity by fabricating a story about a murder.  But one look into her dark, desperate eyes, and he knows she’s not lying.  

He’s the only one who believes her, and the only one who can keep her safe.

No, no, it’s just a protection detail.  John Henry is going to take the role of Fiona’s bodyguard as he investigates her case.
