Descripción editorial

Football is a religion to Rudi and his mates - who are all back in Sydney. Lee hates football, he hates sport full stop. He’d rather be jamming with his punk band in Brisbane. But at a new school – in a new town – what can you do? Mr Rock is stuck with Mr Jock. Before long, Rudi is sharing Lee’s passion for punk, and Lee is spending as much time on the soccer pitch as he once did strumming his guitar. When the two pay Rudi’s friends a visit, Lee sees that football can be more than the world game – it can be tribal too.

Daynan Brazil's Penalty Shot is a play for teenage audiences. It's about misplaced passion, friendship and the thin line between.

First presented by Canberra's Jigsaw Theatre Company the play has toured NSW and Victoria and was nominated for an Australian Writers’ Guild award (AWGIE) in 2008.
