When You Were A Boy

A young Manitoban fiddle player, after the death of his beloved father, travels to France in 1913 to receive his inheritance, a townhouse in the walled village of Montagnac.  He meets his wife-to-be, climbs to the top of the Arc de Triomphe, tangos in the smoke-filled cafes of Paris, jigs upon the Champs-Elysees, and hunts for bats in the forests of Fountainebleu before reaching Montagnac, where he meets his dancing cousin Catherine. His wife, brother, brother-in-law, and cousin, and their friends, a French Colonel, a German Captain, and an old hospital matron unite in loyalty, in courage, and in a love that conquers death.
