Mary Shelley was just 18 when she had a nightmare vision: “I saw the pale student of unhallowed arts kneeling beside the thing he had put together. I saw the hideous phantasm of a man stretched out, and then, on the working of some powerful engine, show signs of life.”

Tragedy, Thou Art Beauty
Enveloped by the words of Mary Shelley, who is not merely an author but a thief as well, for she has stolen my time and attention like few others, I might say, she has stolen my heart. Frankenstein has invigorated me, in such a way where anxiety and depression have sought my demise. Anxiety and depression who do not conform to the laws of logic and reasoning, who I might propose are in fact their rebellious offspring, seeking to reek havoc upon those that their parents have uplifted and exalted. Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein is a tale love, loss, selflessness and selfishness. Its heraldic message, a tale of caution to each and everyone of us, to appreciate the here and now, as well as not forget, our actions have consequences.
