Polly of the Hospital Staff

Polly is an orphan who lives with Aunt Jane but does not enjoy being at home, so when she's offered a temporary job working at the hospital she is delighted. The book follows several patients, and other people whom she meets and befriends. She reads to the other children and invents games for them.
