The House of Heine Brothers

A young English bank clerk named Herbert Onslow works in Munich for the small family German banking concern of Heine Brothers. The younger branch of the Heines takes the young Britisher into their homes, where he begins to grow in love with the eldest sister, Ida Heine. The story really begins when Ida, growing ever more sure that she loves Herbert in return, goes to her stern Uncle Hatto, the Senior Partner in the firm.
