When lockdown threatens to keep them apart, Oliver suggests they move in together. Ciara sees a unique opportunity for a relationship to flourish without the scrutiny of family and friends. Oliver sees a chance to hide who—and what—he really is.
Detectives arrive at Oliver’s apartment to discover a decomposing body inside.
Can they determine what really happened, or has lockdown created an opportunity for someone to commit the perfect crime?
Love the reader, really sets the scene.
Very much enjoyed.
Very much enjoyed. Great story
Wonderful. Spectacular. I want to convey that I read or listen to a lot of novels in this genre and, for the most part, they are enjoyable to 1° or another but almost always there are sizable holes,if not in the plot then in the characters not behaving in believable or realistic ways. This is a tricky plot that’s well executed and the characters are complex. If I think about books like this once I finish them it’s usually along the lines of “ Now wait a second… if X and Y then why did character A say this or do that?” This time I guess you could say I examined the character’s feelings, morals and ethics compared to what my own might have been in the same circumstances.
