"What we have here is a bad case of stripes. One of the worst I've ever seen!"Camilla Cream loves lima beans, but she never eats them. Why? Because the other kids in her school don't like them. And Camilla Cream is very, very worried about what other people think of her. In fact, she's so worried that she's about to break out in...a bad case of stripes!
I was feeling so nostalgic about my past. I had been thinking about this book for about 3 weeks because I remembered how much I had LOVED IT :D. I was so happy when I found it on iTunes. YAY CHILDHOOD! this happens to be one of the best children's stories I've ever read and most kids can read it or hear it without even realizing that it's teaching them to be themselves, eat vegetables, and not lie all in one quick and entertaining little story. Plus it's wonderfully and colorfully illustrated (not that you can see that on the audiobook). As long as you have a copy of this book, or you've read it several times before, it is DEFINATELY worth it to buy it here. :)
MY FAV children's book!
OH MY GOODNESS! I loved this book as a child! I remember being a little kindergartner, and the school librarian would sit in a rocking chair and read us this book...*sigh*...memories :D
A little too fast for early readers and English learners to follow along?
As a school teacher, I was surprised by the speed at which the book is read. The excitement from finding it on iTunes promptly faded, as I realized that I can't use this as much as I would like. My students would benefit from a much slower pace, at least if I expect them to follow the text as they listen to the audiobook.
