Publisher Description
From #1 New York Times bestselling author Sarah J. Maas comes a seductive, breathtaking book that blends romance, adventure, and faerie lore into an unforgettable read.
When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a terrifying creature arrives to demand retribution. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she
knows about only from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not truly a beast, but one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled her world.
At least, he’s not a beast all the time.
As she adapts to her new home, her feelings for the faerie, Tamlin, transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie she’s been told
about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But something is not right in the faerie lands. An ancient, wicked shadow is growing, and Feyre must find a way to stop it or doom Tamlin—and his world—forever.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
High-stakes magic and red-hot romance jump-start the first installment in this epic fantasy series. When desperate young hunter Feyre Archeron kills a wolf that turns out to be magical, she must pay the price, leaving her starving family behind to become a prisoner in the dangerous world of the faerie. But life in this supernatural realm is far from the slavery she had feared. Everything about the faerie life is rich and enticing—especially Feyre’s masked captor, the High Lord Tamlin. Sarah J. Maas’ resourceful heroine definitely doesn’t need rescuing, and we loved following along as she fights to free her strange new homeland from an ancient curse. Narrator Jennifer Ikeda seamlessly portrays every heart-pounding moment of the sweeping tale, from the bloody power battles of the faerie courts to the dangerously steamy love scenes. A Court of Thorns and Roses takes you to a sensual world bursting with complex magic and unbridled lust.

BREATHTAKING!!
absolutely amazing!! i finished in two days!! could not get enough! HIGHLY recommend! pls read, because you will be thankful you did!
enjoyable listen
i was entertained the whole time and i liked how the author chose to describe the events and slowly develop the main character’s understanding of a completely different world (compared to hers). i see in the reviews with people noting the similarities to beauty and the beast. i mean i guess. it didn’t really affect me or my enjoyment of the story. it was different enough for it to be its own world that i didn’t connect with disney.
it stands on its own well. not as adult as i thought it would be, but like i said entertaining and fun to listen to.
in my opinion, well written and well developed. the story made sense and im continuing reading because it feels like Maas had a specific storyline and I enjoy that with the media I consume.
Very repetitive writing
The story was good but I found the writing to be very distracting. Sara J Mass reused the same phrases “clinched jaws”, “low growls”, “taste of bile in my throat” OVER AND OVER THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE BOOK! It just got old after a while.
