Publisher Description
The epic series from #1 New York Times bestselling author Sarah J. Maas continues with a stunning story of love, war, and revenge.
Feyre has returned to the Spring Court, determined to gather information on Tamlin’s actions and learn what she can about the invading king threatening to
bring her land to its knees. But to do so she must play a deadly game of deceit. One slip could bring doom not only for Feyre but for everything—and everyone she holds dear.
As war bears down upon them all, Feyre endeavors to take her place as one of the High Fae of the land, balancing her struggle to master her powers—both
magical and political—and her love for her court and family. Amidst these struggles, Feyre and Rhysand must decide whom to trust among the cunning and
lethal High Lords, and hunt for allies in unexpected places.
In this thrilling third book in the Court of Thorns and Roses series, the fate of Feyre’s world is at stake as armies grapple for power over the one thing that could destroy it.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Our pulse was racing from the thrilling action scenes, daring acts of magic, and sizzling romance in the third installment of Sarah J. Maas’ epic fantasy series. Feyre, a mortal turned Fae and now High Lady of the Night Court, is preparing for a devastating war. She’ll do whatever it takes to aid her beloved mate, the brooding High Lord Rhysand, in marshaling forces against a threatened invasion—including going undercover at the court of her former lover, Tamlin, and attempting to enlist the very reluctant aid of her sisters, who are a lot more traumatized by their own transformations into Fae than Feyre is. Whom can she trust in this treacherous world of shifting alliances, and whom can she persuade to trust her? Narrator Amanda Leigh Cobb is a layer of sweetness over steel as Feyre, who is gaining confidence in herself and her growing powers. And Maas definitely knows how to turn up the heat whenever Feyre and Rhys get together for some personal time. As exciting in the action sequences as it is when things get steamy, this is romantasy at its best.

Court of wings on Ruin 🪽
This is just wow mix of emotions 😩🥹🥰
Ikeda v. Cobb
I was disappointed after listening to the two books that the narrator changed. The first two books were beautifully brought to life through Jennifer Ikeda’s interpretations of each character. At times during this book, it was hard to distinguish the characters due to lack of inflection or cadence in the narrator’s voice.
Rhysand’s voice was the most jarring. He went from arrogant, sarcastic, powerful, and calculating to sappy and vulnerable which just didn’t quite fit his character from the other two books. I am not convinced this was the writer’s intention, but the narrator missed the opportunity to keep his character in line with the first two books.
As for the writing, the story crescendos and collides to bring satisfaction to the reader. Maas finds the balance to tell the story through multiple views in a creative way.
