Drawing on childhood memories, Tom Hegg composed A Cup of Christmas Tea, a straightforward, sentimental poem that brought tears to his audience's eyes. First published in 1982, it's been a seasonal best-seller ever since.
A Memory of Christmas Tea, published in 1999, is the heartwarming sequel. A must-own for the Christmas season.

I've made this a Christmas Tradition since I used to listen to it on WCCO Radio every year when Tom Hegg would read it live. It's a very moving tale. I'm glad I can now have it in my Christmas Collection along with White Christmas, Silent Night and all the old classics.
A Cup of Christmas Tea
It's a poem, 2 poems in fact. Good hearted but slightly hokey. The background music is annoying. Also the price is far to high for this poem. iTunes should do a better job labeling these audiobooks and apps because they are not what they are advertised to be for many of them. Would I buy this if I knew it was a poem? No.
The book is great. The audio book / CD is not.
For some reason, Tom Hegg recorded a different version of 'A Cup of Christmas Tea' when he released it on CD. The cassette tape is far superior to this recording. He has so much more passion and better timing on the cassette.
