Publisher Description

Busted for smoking pot, college-bound suburbanite Danny is incredulous when forced to spend the night in jail. He’s repulsed by his cellmate, a homeless and mentally ill drug addict who keeps him awake all night with his delusional rants. By morning, Danny’s world is completely upended.

A Night In Jail is a grim pause-resister with a staggering ending.

Original music by Connor Swan Smith.

As good as old radio theater

I'm not going to review the book, but I would like to make a comment about the Audio Book and the actor.
If you are looking for a great story read by an amazing actor, look no further than A Night in Jail. As a radio theater junky, I feel when all the greats left radio in the 50’s and moved to TV (lucille ball, Howard McNear, Jack Benny, etc), radio theater and acting was on a downward slide once everyone was gone and fill-in's moved in to take their place.
This book will keep you listening from cover to cover and that Actor was nothing short of Amazing! It could have easily fallen apart with the wrong actor, but he totally immersed himself into all the characters and I felt like I was in the same room with the main character at all times.
Well done!
PS: I've read some of the negative review - OMG! Bad language, didn't understand the story, etc? It's a book and I loved it. I own both the book, but I have to say that I truly loved the Audio Book, it delivered. warning, if you listen to this book on a drive, you might very well purposely miss your exit. :-)
