One kiss lasts a moment. But a thousand kisses can last a lifetime.
One boy. One girl. A bond that is forged in an instant and cherished for a decade. A bond that neither time nor distance can break. A bond that will last forever. Or so they believe.
When seventeen-year-old Rune Kristiansen returns from his native Norway to the sleepy town of Blossom Grove, Georgia, where he befriended Poppy Litchfield as a child, he has just one thing on his mind. Why did the girl who was one half of his soul, who promised to wait faithfully for his return, cut him off without a word of explanation?
Rune’s heart was broken two years ago when Poppy fell silent. When he discovers the truth, he finds that the greatest heartache is yet to come.
A stand-alone young adult tearjerker romance, recommended for ages fourteen and up.
Customer Reviews
I have never cried so much in a book
Warning… I cried from the first chapter to the last. I can’t say enough good things about this book though. Honestly, I felt every emotion while reading this. Happy, sad, anger, devastation, confusion, excitement, and more.
Did not live up to the hype
I’m not a huge fan of romance but this had such high reviews and people gushing over it on tiktok so I gave it a chance. This was painfully cheesy and unoriginal. It reminds me of something I would’ve written as a 12 year old. It is targeted as a young adult novel and I’m in my late 20s so that could’ve been part of the issue but it also didn’t display a relationship I’d want any young adult romanticizing. Lots if possessiveness and toxicity in the characters relationship. I found myself growing to really dislike every character that by the end I was extremely uninvested in their story. This was extremely difficult to sit through but I already spent the money and was hoping it would get better. No such luck.
Ok
Cute story line, but super slow and long. Predictable at times and dragged on about two teens telling each other how much they love each other. Narrators were super good, though!
