When Audrey gets a tip about an injured dog near the coast and goes to find him—she finds the dead body of a powerful local instead.

“The book had heart and the entire story worked together seamlessly that didn't sacrifice either intrigue or personality. I loved the characters - so many great characters! I can't wait to read whatever Fiona Grace writes next!”

Customer Reviews
Audrey.
Women who are able to leave their lives behind and move halfway around the world to start over are strong, confident snd clever. Yet Audrey behaved and sounds like a foolish teenager even though she’s well into her 30’s. Why does she giggle whenever a man speaks to her and lusts after any guy that’s at all good looking? That is not how women behave, or at least not women with the courage to start over in a country where they don’t even speak the language. She behaves more like a teenager at a mall looking for boys. To bad as I love the setting and premise, but Audrey just doesn’t fit.
Butchered Italian
The narrator would have done well to have researched Italian pronunciation.
