Returned to Earth, Ellen Ripley learns that a colony has been established on LV-426, the planet where the crew of the Nostromo found the original Alien.
But contact with the colonists has been lost, so she must accompany a unit of colonial marines to discover their fate. And to destroy any Aliens found on the planet known as Acheron.
This is a groundbreaking sequel by science fiction legend Alan Dean Foster, with the wonderful characters and rapid-fire action that make Aliens one of the greatest science fiction films of all time.
Always looking for good Alien details...
I read this book in the early '80s shortly after seeing the original movie. I liked it then, and I like it more now.
There are loads of extra details, and more dialogue among characters that make it enjoyable to listen to. It's tied in to the movie but has very slight differences.
If you're an Alien fan who is displeased with the recent additions to the mythology this book will give you what you want - and it's in line with the real canon of the series - not some ADD-addled director with an over-inflated ego (*cough* Fincher *cough*).
Boooo their book tried to scare me but it didn't
its good i gues
