Publisher Description
What If It's Us meets They Both Die at the End in this postapocalyptic, queer YA adventure romance from debut author Erik J. Brown. Perfect for fans of Adam Silvera, Alex London, and Heartstopper by Alice Oseman.
When Andrew stumbles upon Jamie’s house, he’s injured, starved, and has nothing left to lose. A deadly pathogen has killed off most of the world’s population, including everyone both boys have ever loved. And if this new world has taught them anything, it’s to be scared of what other desperate people will do . . . so why does it seem so easy for them to trust each other?
After danger breaches their shelter, they flee south in search of civilization. But something isn’t adding up about Andrew’s story, and it could cost them everything. And Jamie has a secret, too. He’s starting to feel something more than friendship for Andrew, adding another layer of fear and confusion to an already tumultuous journey.
The road ahead of them is long, and to survive, they’ll have to shed their secrets, face the consequences of their actions, and find the courage to fight for the future they desire, together. Only one thing feels certain: all that’s left in their world is the undeniable pull they have toward each other.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
We were captivated by this energetic and thrilling YA novel about two teen guys navigating the apocalypse. Now that a deadly virus has wiped out over 99% of the global population, Andrew and Jamie are just trying to stay alive in a landscape of dead bodies, wild animals, and dangerous survivors—growing closer and closer along the way. Erik J. Brown perfectly blends the butterflies of a queer teen love story with the fast-paced excitement of post-catastrophe chaos. Narrators Barrett Leddy and Andrew Gibson stunningly portray two kids maneuvering through the complex emotions of loss, guilt, fear, and falling in love. All That’s Left in the World reminds us that even amid total societal collapse, friendship and love can endure.

Love this book. Great story. Would recommend.
I LOVED this book
l've always enjoyed post apocalyptic stories, and it was very refreshing to see a story with a gay leading character whose entire story did not revolve around hookups.
The characters are imperfect, they've struggled and don't have all of the answers. It was more "real" and had me hooked from the beginning. Hope so see more stories from this universe.
Amazing!
This book is my new fav! It’s so refreshing and new. I have looked and looked for anything sifi or fiction future involving the LGBTQIA’s+ and found nothing till this book! And I’m so happy I did I can’t wait for a sequel!
