Almost A Hippie

At eighteen, Ashe leaves home with no real plan—only the sense that staying would mean becoming someone he isn’t.

It begins in Florida, then carries him across the country—and back again—from borrowed rooms to crash pads, and conversations about freedom that sound convincing until they don’t. He listens more than he speaks. He watches. He learns, slowly, what drifting costs. What begins as escape turns into something harder to name.

Almost A Hippie is a quiet coming-of-age novel about movement, innocence, and the moment when freedom reveals what it expects in return.
