Mispronounced Yiddish word describing Amy?

Hi, I'm really tired. I'm not sure how good or accurate. This short little book is, but I'm getting excited for the newest film. If the person reading this was trying to pronounce "noodge" or "nudge". if I'm worried about the word, there's a lot more to what that word means and why her parents are one of them or someone in her family labeled her that anyway it's a tragic death of a dynamic woman... I like the part about the fact that she was loud and why that was an insightful point to make.
