APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
In this listen, a girls’ trip gone bad throws a cult survivor into unexpected danger. When Lorraine moved from New York to Tiger Mountain, Washington, with her boyfriend Grant, she hoped the lush Pacific Northwest forests would help her finally forget her troubled past. But when her prickly new friend Braithe goes missing during a Las Vegas “girls’ weekend,” Rainy realizes the secret time she once spent with a murderous cult has caught up with her at last. Suspense queen Tarryn Fisher demonstrates a deep understanding of abusive relationships, as well as what can happen to mean girls when they grow up (and become even more dangerous women). Weaving together past and present storylines, Fisher masterfully conjures Rainy’s terror in the face of life-or-death stakes—and Lauren Fortgang’s lively, engaged narration made us feel it in our bones. An Honest Lie is a perfect poolside or fireside listen.

Good story!
It was a bit slow at times, but the over all plot was good with a happy ending. Not my favorite, but a good purchase nonetheless!
Terrible

Good listen
It’s scary to think about how there are places like this. Rainey is a powerful character.
