“The single most compelling personal account of the Holocaust ... remains astonishing and excruciating.”—The New York Times Book Review
In 1942, with Nazis occupying Holland, a thirteen-year-old Jewish girl and her family fled their home in Amsterdam and went into hiding. For the next two years, until their whereabouts were betrayed to the Gestapo, they and another family lived cloistered in the “Secret Annex” of an old office building. Cut off from the outside world, they faced hunger, boredom, the constant cruelties of living in confined quarters, and the ever-present threat of discovery and death. In her diary Anne Frank recorded vivid impressions of her experiences during this period. By turns thoughtful, moving, and amusing, her account offers a fascinating commentary on human courage and frailty and a compelling self-portrait of a sensitive and spirited young woman whose promise was tragically cut short.

Anne Frank
Amazing. This book is just for me especially, because she is around my age, and Anne is very relatable. For other about to be teens or teens (about 12-15), I highly recommend listening to this book. I feel it will help teens with normal teenager thoughts and problems, and also help you feel you are not alone. Anne has really helped me understand, as a teenager, I need to be more grateful, and control my hormones better, etc. But not only does it help with my points I made, but also that this was when World War II was happening, so and Anne Frank will teach the listener/ Reader the history behind World War II and the perspective of the Jews and Christian’s. This is a great book. To sum it all up, this book for everyone, but I highly recommend it to teenagers and up. Anne Frank has a variety of small moments of romance, relatable moments, and historical moments. So I think Anne Frank is a variety of many good topics. Highly recommend.

The reader
The story is good but the person who is reading this audio book sounds like she is groaning and moaning when she reads this. And sounds like she’s complaining while reading this.
A must
One of the most beautiful yet haunting things I’ve ever read.
