Publisher Description
When Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert of Green Gables, Prince Edward Island, send for a boy orphan to help them out at the farm, they are in no way prepared for the error that will change their lives. The mistake takes the shape of Anne Shirley, a redheaded 11-year-old girl who can talk anyone under the table. Fortunately, her sunny nature and quirky imagination quickly win over her reluctant foster parents. Anne's feisty spirit soon draws many friends - and much trouble - her way.
Montgomery wrote the novel in the twilight of the day, sitting at her window and overlooking the fields of Cavendish. Since publication, Anne of Green Gables has sold more than 50 million copies.
Customer Reviews
Wow.
I can't believe that this audiobook is only $3.95! They're usually $15 or $20! I don't know why it's so cheap. It's not abridged, which is what I've been looking for. The reader's voice is nice to hear and beautifully paced. She does the characters' voices perfectly. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this audiobook.
Inexpensive and well read!
Wow, you can't beat the price, the sound quality is good and this is unabridged. The abridged version is three times as expensive. Happy Listening! The Secret Garden is also wonderful.
GREAT BOOK!
I loved this book! It is well read and the reader does a nice job with the voices so you can follow along! She also seems to be enjoying herself which helps me enjoy listening to her! I loved it!
