Good…BUT

I thought this was a good book to start off the year. To be honest…wanted to read this before seeing the movie. I also saw a rumor that Taylor Swift actually wrote this book (not sure if it’s actually true…) BUT it did make me want to read it even more. I was reading the book while listening to the audio book; and I will say that they changed a few things, and corrected things in the audio version that were errors in the book. I thought it was funny that the narrator mispronounced some things (but don’t we all!) If there is another book after this one…I will probably read it…I just thought it would grip me more with character development. I wish they would have gotten deeper with the characters; but I guess that’s what happens when a book is less than 400 pages. I would give this 3.5 stars.

Terrible

I don’t like being gamed. This “Argyle” is not the same story as the movie, has an entirely different character, “Elly Conway” is not just a pseudonym as it’s two different people—likely this book is a different author, too—and “Elly Conway” is the protagonist of the movie, who writes about “Argyle,” though it turns out SHE is actually Argyle, who has lost her memory. This whole thing is a game of identities, but not as in the story. It’s just deception. Don’t bother. Nonsense. Some publisher is laughing.

This is written terribly. Taylor swift would NEVER!
