If you loved the movie (and who doesn't), you'll like this behind the scenes look from the man in black. Although it's almost too much of a love fest as the praise for every single person associated with the film goes on and on, and some of the reading is very wooden and clunky, the stories are great, and the insight is amazing.
This is so well done! Brilliant!
For long car rides I love an audiobook & as a fan of The Princess Bride I thought I'd give this one a shot. I am sooooo glad I did. The way Carey Elwes tells these stories along with other cast members is flawless. The cast stories and behind the scene fun facts was entertaining to say the least. The attention to detail made it easy to picture the scene. I especially loved the chapter on storming the castle and its focus on Andre the Giant. Rather, The Gentle Giant. You could feel the respect and love this cast has for each other. Carey's compassion, enthusiasm and wit shined through and his cadence was perfection. I laughed so hard during one chapter I had to pull the car over. I can't wait to watch the movie again with the insight I've now gained. How they prepared for the greatest sword fight, how casting was done, what the writer thought of the process, how Rob Reiner was as a director and much more. Brilliant fun! Just brilliant.

I love this movie and went to see it at NJPAC followed by a Q & A with Carey Eweles. It was a great experience and couldn’t wait to read this book. I went with the audio book since I am not much of a book reader. After my first audio book ever and the great story it was it actually got me to listen to more books. Thank you Carey for getting me into book and not just ones there were assigned in school.
