In Bayside Passions....
When Emery Andrews's best friend, Desiree, moves away, falls in love, and opens an inn all in one summer, she feels her absence like a missing limb. Until she visits over the holidays and meets sinfully hot Dean Masters, who's as easy on the eyes as he is to talk to. After returning home, what starts as a flurry of late-night flirtations quickly turns into a deep connection and unexpected friendship. Now, months later, Desiree offers Emery a job teaching yoga at the inn. Adventurous Emery jumps at the chance and heads for Wellfleet, Massachusetts, to reunite with her BFF and her new close friend, Dean.
After months of sharing their lives and their secrets over video chats and phone calls, Dean's ready to move things to the next level. The fact that Emery seems oblivious to the sparks between them and has recently put her foot down about dating friends just means he'll have to bide his time.
When Emery finds a naked man in her kitchen the first morning she's there, Dean doesn't hesitate to move her into his guest room. Maybe now, Emery will see what's right before her eyes - although that guy she's got a date with might be a problem.

Bayside Passions is a great friends to lovers story. Emery Andrews has moved to the Cape for a fresh start and to be closer to her BFF Desiree. After several failed relationships, Emery has vowed no more dates with friends or bosses. Dean Masters knows what he wants in a woman and that woman is Emery. After becoming her new best friend and having spent several months talking to her daily, their friendship is heading out of the friend zone, that’s is if Dean can convince Emery to give up her rule. Dean and Emery are great together, they are both such strong characters. Bayside Passions is another great Melissa Foster book. I always anticipate her releases.
Not only did I enjoy reading Bayside Passions, I enjoyed the audiobook as well. B.J. Harrison brings this story and the characters to life. I always enjoy listening to him narrate books.
This was just a nice little romance . It wasn't filled with a lot of drama or meddling friends. It was a fun, flirty read between a landscaper and a yoga instructor. Two people who considered themselves friends until they ended up being more. Emery and Dean fit together well. Where she was outgoing and direct, Dean was more cautious, but definitely adventurous. When Emery turns to Dean for a place to stay while she's getting her Yoga business up and running, they end up heading into their Bayside passions.
I listened to this on audible. The narrator was OK for the story.
Dean and Emery are a breath of fresh air.
Dean and Emery are a breath of fresh air with their flirty banter and budding friendship. Underneath the breeze lies a few gusts. There will be patches of rain, but in the end the storm clouds makes it worth the ride.
