Publisher Description
BBC Radio has a unique heritage when it comes to Shakespeare. Since 1923, when the newly formed company broadcast its first full-length play, generations of actors and producers have honed and perfected the craft of making Shakespeare to be heard.
Each word of this production builds a picture of richness and complexity of Shakespeare's characters. The clarity of radio gives added poignancy to the young Prince's struggles and greater depth to Falstaff's exuberance.
Revitalised, original, and comprehensive, this is Shakespeare for the new millennium.

Purists Beware!
I am disappointed that this is an abridged production. Many verse were removed from the first act. Otherwise the recording is fine.
Good
Good version.
Now we need Henry IV part two and Henry V.
Great for Students
I listened to the Audio Book as I read along. With a full cast it makes the reading quicker and easier to understand. It is not an unabridged version but it only cuts out a few scenes.
