Cute
Decent story but, I had a couple of personal hiccups. The lead female character lacks back bone which is frustrating. And there are Several recording errors. Also, the narrator said “Macaron” annoyingly/incorrectly like 100 times throughout the book.

I wish they stuck with the original narrator. This one is really no good.
Meh
It is definitely a simple read. Follows exact format of the first book in the series. I find the main character, Ali, annoying. She didn’t improve from book 1 to 2. In the first audiobook I don’t recall Miriam, the owner of Kookies, to be Slavic with an accent, but she does in this one. The narrator was ok, had some pronunciation issues and there were about 3 times she had repeated the same lines but I’m not sure it was her fault or the editor’s fault. At this point I’d like Ali to stop meddling in murders, & focus on finding her dad—solve that mystery!
