A Man to be Admired
I have been training martial arts since 1987 after blowing out my knee in college playing soccer. I moved from one art to the next earning a few black belts along the way and getting close in others. I began Gracie Jiu Jitsu in the 90’s after seeing Royce clean up in the early UFCs. I got injured and restarted at 49 years old in 2016. Now I’m a 3 stripe purple belt about to turn 57 years old Along the way I learned about Roy Dean, watched many videos of him and his students, and studied a few of his instructionals. Roy is smoooooth. I like the way he teaches, though I also have a great instructor I’ve been following for almost 8 years. Roy’s instruction supplements my training and has helped me develop a lot, conceptually as well as with concrete moves. This story of his life was fascinating…I highly recommend it!!
