Not my favorite of hers, but an easy read
I did not trouble with the narrator, I was grateful that she was good at creating different voices with all the various characters. The plot had interesting twists. It took over 1/3 of the way through to start getting into where the story line was going. The reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that it wasn’t my favorite of the author, and the others I’ve read I’ve loved. This one I had a hard time starting to fully like the character, and the romance between characters was lacking build up. It seemed ‘I like you’ then ‘I don’t like you’ back to ‘I like you’. I never felt the feels between the characters. It could have been a really great book, if things would have had longer to develop. That said, it was an easy listen while puttering around the garden and house.

Usually a fan of this author, but this book is so convoluted and pathetic that I couldn’t even get past the second chapter. The narrator is absurd! I cannot even understand a single syllable; why is this even out there? The author should be so ashamed for allowing such a horrific version of her story. Stay away from the audiobook and this particular narrator. It’s a shame, but I’m returning it.
