Publisher Description
Meet the Arizona Vengeance, hockey’s hottest new team. They’re burning up the ice—until a one-night-stand with the coach’s daughter freezes one player in his skates.
Bishop Scott, co-captain. Not too shabby, huh? It’s all part of my fresh start with the NHL’s latest expansion team, and that means new teammates, a new coach, a new city, and a big new contract. Basically, I cannot f***ing wait to show my old squad what they’re missing.
But first, I decide to check out the town before the grind begins. Turns out Arizona chicks are totally smokin’, and I’m fortunate enough to meet one who’s looking for the same thing I am: a night of anonymous, unforgettable, no-strings-attached sex.
Fast forward to the Vengeance arena. It’s the last place I expect to see her again—let alone in her own office. Then bells go off and I finally realize who this girl is: Brooke Perron. My new coach’s daughter. All of a sudden, we’re picking up right where we left off, which means our hands are all over each other. That’s when her dad—my boss—walks in. And before I can get a word out, Brooke’s introducing me as her fiancé.
Sure, she just saved my ass. So why do I get the feeling Brooke’s going to turn my world upside down? Maybe it’s because this fake relationship feels way too real. . . .

Loved it!
Bishop Scott is a hockey player for the new expansion team, the Arizona Vengeance. Brooke Perron is the assistant director of Client Services for the Vengeance as well as the coach’s daughter. After a one-night stand, which neither knew who the other was, Bishop finds Brooke at the new arena. When they are caught kissing in her office by her dad, the new coach, she tells him her and Bishop are engaged. As Bishop and Brooke navigate the charade, their relationship goes from being fake to being real. When a vindictive friend lets the cat out of the bag about Bishop and Brooke’s fake engagement and also files a multimillion-dollar lawsuit against several players, Brooke feels responsible for bringing this so-called friend into their lives. When she leaves Arizona for New York to escape the backlash, can Bishop persuade her to return to Arizona and give them their HEA.
If you like Sawyer Bennett’s hockey series Cold Fury, you’ll love the first book of the new Arizona Vengeance series as well.

An Arizona Vengeance Novel

Sawyer Bennett pens another fantastic story, I just adore her writing style and the wonderful storylines and characters she creates, which are interesting and captivated me from start to end. The Arizona Vengeance Hockey team is a new hockey team, some players know each other well others are just getting to know each other. Bishop, because of his time on the ice has been appointed Co-Captain of the team. The night before the teams meet for preseason start he has a hot, one night stand with Brooke, they have a wonderful time together but never exchanged contact info. Neither knew who the other was, so when Bishop goes in the next day he is surprised to see Brooke. When Bishop’s coach walks in on them in a compromising position and she calls him Dad, he is lost for words, especially after what comes out of Brooke’s mouth as an explanation to her Dad. Once the shock wears off Bishop just goes along with it. I adored these two characters, both are nice and look out for those they love. I thought they were great together and I loved how their relationship turned real. When Brooke’s friend from her old job comes to visit she stirs up loads of trouble. I was not a fan of her and Bishop called her act right from the start, calculating and manipulative. There is never a dull moment in this book, plenty of drama, angst, some smoking hot loving and a buildup to the great romance. Sawyer Bennett, thank you for another fantastic story.
I listened to the Audio version, Lance Greenfield and Kirsten Leigh are fantastic narrators and voice artists. They bring the characters to life, give each their own voice and personality. I adored Lance’s Bishop and Kirsten’s Brooke. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they project the emotions of the characters as well as the drama of the story into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this fantastic listen🎧
