Black Cake
I struggled in the very beginning, felt slow and a little drug out. But if you stick with it, it is a very good read. In life we keep so many secrets from the ones we love most, why is it so difficult to let others in, to ask for help, support, forgiveness? A story about the strength of women, a couples deep love and who is “family.” I recommend!
Not the best
I hate to leave not so great reviews but this book was too long, too many characters, stories/scenarios and jumping between now and then. It was hard to follow in the middle. The beginning and the end is
what held the book together.
Audiobook review
I found it hard to follow the timeline while listening to the audiobook. I think I would have given more stars if I had a hard copy of the book rather than listening to it. I like the story and the reader a lot.
