Publisher Description

Four beastly princes. One awkward bookworm. An enchanted world of fae, magic, and danger.

I’ve always loved fairytales. I never imagined I'd actually be in one.

When my father wanders into the enchanted realm of the fae, I know I have to go after him. And when he gets imprisoned, I'll do anything to save him, even trade my freedom for his. I had no idea I'd end up imprisoned by four sexy fae who turn into beasts at night.

I have to win my freedom, and that means making a bargain with them. They must find their mates in order to break the curse. If I can help them do that, they'll set me free. Sounds simple, right?

It's not. Because against my better judgment, I'm starting to fall for these beastly princes. One is smart and sweet, the other mysterious and deadly, another flirty and confident. The last prince is handsome, strong, has a wicked temper, and is dead-set against breaking the curse. Why does he want to keep me here forever?

But it's not just my freedom on the line. If I don't break the princes' curse soon, all the magic in the Enchanted Vale will be stolen by the evil—and stupidly hot—Prince of Thorns. And I'm not letting my princes stay cursed.

Not after I've fallen in love with them.

Bonded by Thorns is a steamy adult Beauty and the Beast retelling set in a fantasy fae realm. In this version, our beautiful bookworm doesn't have to choose between the four sexy fae princes. It is a full-length novel that ends on a cliffhanger. It includes MF and MM content. It is intended for mature listeners only.

Daddy's Little Babygirl ,

i’ve read better fanfiction

pros:

if you love the trashy romance of an RH, this is it

caters to people who never accessed ao3 and getting into the classic tropes.

fanfiction… it’s published fanfiction

(i can’t talk about cons without some slight spoilers so heads up)

cons:

main character doesn’t make sense (shown as “smoll and uwu” feeble when she was living in the human world then had an unprecedented personality 180 switch where she decided to become more outspoken). great for her but not a hint of what caused that change or why she even changed

a lot of buildup with no payoff. it was meant to be a set up book but there was nothing notable that made me want to keep reading. continuously hints at the spice but not following through in the nearly 350 pages. only one F/M scene and M/M scene that came out of nowhere and also short, not organic and felt forced

a lot of cringe statements that threw me off. i know this is supposed to be a beauty and the beast inspiration but don’t have to constantly bring it up with the direct quotes from the disney movie. i’m surprised it hasn’t been slapped with some kind of infringement from the mouse.

relationships between the five princes have a thin foundation. i understand the next books is to develop it but it’s hard to believe that it would be anything more when the majority of the book is the inner dialogue of “he looks at her longingly at her full breasts and she is just so small and tiny”
it makes it difficult to want to care with how little is being discussed about the relationships or backstories “the princes would be wolves forever!!” why should i care?

world building? idk her. it was clear that the environment that the princes are placed is a second thought. the political schemes and the reason to throw a “ball” for the benefit of the princes without any kind of resolution was juvenile. i cannot care for the characters for how little of consequences was discussed throughout the book. it was rushed and inorganic like it was written to give the book a “conflict”. that conflict of said ball was created in the last third of the book like the editors had to remind the author that something has to happen
would benefit from writing exercises

i’m being generous with 2/5. author may has a lot to learn in terms of their writing or they can dedicate themselves to marketing because there’s no other way this book got popular with the atrocity that was the world building and the characterization. ao3 has more heartbreaking, moving stories that are being published for free for no other reason than passion. this book proves that anyone can get anything published despite the bad writing as long as they have money.

author needs to chew a little bit more about “cause and effect” with each of their characters actions and maybe go on reddit to look up world building/ writing exercises
