Publisher Description
In Fiasco, Kentucky, there is one rule: never fall for a Foxx brother.
It isn’t just small-town lore or neighborhood gossip—I’ve witnessed what happens when the men in my family get too comfortable and fall. And maybe that’s history now, but the responsibility to lead our family business and maintain our standing as the world’s most sought-after Kentucky bourbon is on my shoulders. Few others know the lengths I’ll go to ensure the safety of my business and family. Blurring morals and manipulating rules are all just part of the game.
There’s only one problem: Hadley Finch. My brother’s best friend, Fiasco’s small-town princess, an honorary part of my family, the daughter of a deplorable businessman—she’s the woman I swore to stay away from in a bargain I never wanted to make, and now . . . she’s my wife.
Hadley’s wild attitude and smart mouth have always been impossible to ignore. She’s the only person who pushes every last shred of my resolve. When she peels off her clothes, shares her desires, and uses a nickname that will be my undoing, the chaos that led us here falls away.
There are a decade's worth of secrets and lies between us, but if we can both get what we want—I’ll keep Foxx Bourbon, and she can escape the fallout from her father’s sins—then none of that matters.
Before she was mine, I was fine protecting her from afar. It’s never been about a happy ending or being her hero, but now, I crave both. Call it the Foxx curse or penance for my sins, but when all of it explodes and the lives of those I love are threatened, there are only two things I have left to bargain with: bourbon and proof.

Amazing Story & Narration🎧Enthralling & Alluring!
Victoria Wilder welcomes you back to Fiasco, Kentucky, with another amazing novel and another amazing bourbon boy and Foxx brother. This third book in the series is Atticus “Ace” Foxx and Hadley Finch’s story, and I have been looking forward to it since meeting them. Almost tempted to say Wilder saved the best brother for last, but that would not be fair, because his brother’s stories, the first two books, are just as amazing. Hadley is Ace’s brother’s best friend, and Ace harbored feelings for her, and while she did not know it, he always looked out for her, and did what he needed to do to keep her safe. Hadley’s father is not a good man, as crooked and corrupt as they come, a swindler who deals with others like him, all greedy and power hungry. Ace fell into his trap years ago, and it cost him, but it was for a good cause as long as it kept Hadley safe, out of harm’s way and her father’s business. But her father’s corrupt ways caught up with him, and he is facing criminal charges, but that does not stop him from pressuring Hadley, and it doesn’t stop the men he owes money to from wanting their funds. Hadley has always wanted Ace, flirts with him and challenges him every chance she gets. There is an undeniable chemistry between them, but he has his reasons for not going there with her. Until it is the only way to get her father off both their backs and to keep her safe. A marriage of convenience like no other, when these two collide in the bedroom, or any room, it is explosive, yes daddy, explosive. There is never a dull moment in this cleverly plotted story, a multi-layered story with the perfect balance of drama, angst, witty dialogue and banter, twists and turns, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and a romance years in the making, one with heated passion and kink. Victoria Wilder, thank you for another exceptional story, the emotional rollercoaster ride and the wonderful epilogue.
🎧📚🎧 Victoria Connolly and Sean Masters were fantastic at voicing these characters and delivering a perfect portrayal of each. These two were naturals in their roles, grasping every aspect of their character’s personality, with Connolly nailing it as Hadley, from her sass to her fierceness, with Masters being just as amazing as Ace, and was swoon-worthy in the role. Both were fantastic at performing the roles of the side/secondary characters too, giving each their own distinct voice, making it easy to follow along and tell who was who. They set the ideal tone for the story, conveyed all the characters’ emotions and passion in their performance, having you feel them all. These two are a perfect pairing, and their duet performance is enthralling and entertaining.
