She was the first artist in history to win a Grammy Award, an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award, for her song "Let the River Run" from the movie Working Girl.

Simon brilliantly captures moments of creative inspiration, the sparks of songs, and the stories behind writing "Anticipation" and "We Have No Secrets" among many others. Romantic entanglements with some of the most famous men of the day fueled her confessional lyrics, as well as the unraveling of her storybook marriage to James Taylor.

Extremely honest and brave depiction of her amazing life.

Carly reading her memories impresses the emotions and the wisdom brought through her vocalized words of her life experiences. The stories are told from a romantic heart. The sorrow for that, that went south, and mystically for the wisdom gained.
Good book, badly produced audiobook
I wish I could just listen to Carly Simon reading her story. Instead the audio quality of her narration and the use of music randomly throughout is so bad, it’s mind boggling. The memoir itself is fascinating so it’s a pity.
