OMG, this book was absolute perfection! The chemistry was so intense and the comedy was out of this world! I laughed constantly. And those JP Cane cameo emails, lol. I truly hope Hudson’s story is in the works.

Audiobook can save a book.
Wouldn’t have finished this average story without these great readers, particularly Jason Clarke.

After listening to and loving “Bridesmaid For Hire”, the first book of this series, I was wondering how Meghan Quinn was going to top that, well I can say not only did she keep up the amazing momentum, but she has outdone herself delivering another brilliant romantic comedy. This second book is Everly Plum and Hardy Hopper’s story and is a friends-to-lovers romance until it takes a turn and becomes an enemies-to-lovers romance. Yes, you heard that right, Ms. Quinn sure put these two through the wringer to get to their happily ever after and it was a fun ride the entire way, well fun for us to watch, not always fun for the characters, but no worries all is great for all in the end. Everly is running the “Bridesmaid for Hire” program at Magical Moments by Maggie and Hardy, an investor, asks for help with his friends’ wedding, but that is not all he asks of her, and since she crushed on him she was hoping he was going to ask her on a date. Hardy was watching those close to him find their significant other and settle down, so he decided it was time he did, too. When he found out his ex-girlfriend was going to be the maid of honor at their friend’s wedding, he wanted a second chance with her, but he was told to stay away. So he knows the perfect person to help him win back his ex, Everly, and that is how he became his wingman. I loved how everything played out in this book with so many hilarious and laugh out loud moments, witty banter and dialogue, and the perfect balance of drama, heartfelt emotions and a slow burn but so worth the wait romance. As with all M.Q. books, the writing, plot and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. Thank you for another amazing story and emotional roller coaster ride.

🎧📚🎧  Samantha Brentmoor and Jason Clarke deliver an outstanding performance of bringing these characters and story to life. Their character voices are fitting and their portrayal of each was spot on, making them believable in every role and were absolutely amazing as the two lead characters and so was the duet delivery. Brentmoor’s Everly was perfection, showcasing every aspect of her personality, from her vulnerabilities to her strength and determination, and Clarke was just as fabulous in Hardy’s role, charming and swoon worthy. They set the perfect tone for the story, handle the witty dialogue and banter effortlessly, landing the humor naturally without missing a beat. You could hear how much heart they put into their performance as they capture all the characters’ emotions and have you feeling every single one. These two made a great team, their voices complemented each other and their performance elevated this already brilliant story to another level. Thank you for another wonderfully entertaining listen.
