A Captivating Underwater Romance with a Twist
Michelle M. Pillow's captivating paranormal merman romance "Captive of the Deep: Lords of the Abyss, Book 3" flips the classic Little Mermaid story on its head. A lonely and cursed merman warrior named Rigel saves Lyra, a stunning mortal woman, from the sea. They have to face the mysteries of Lyra's shipwreck and the curse that has befallen Rigel's people while they negotiate their tremendous desire.
Fans of paranormal merman adventures, rescue romances, and damsel-in-distress tales should not miss this narrative. Character development and complexity are strong points of the well-developed world-building. Rebecca Cook's narrative is superb; it vividly depicts the undersea environment and its inhabitants. "Captive of the Deep" is a novel take on a beloved story that makes for an engrossing and revitalizing listen. Rigel and Lyra have a scorching connection, and their romance is full of tension, passion, and tender moments.
