I saw some hate surrounding this book, in my opinion it was really good. The narrators suit the characters. This isn’t your smart billionaire dark romance. This is uneducated & brutal with no means. It’s a good change of pace, I would recommend this.

I have wanted this book for over a year. However, I was not aware I could get it on Apple since it wasn’t available on Kindle or on Audible. Once I found it on Apple, I opted to purchase the audiobook so that I could listen to it while I worked. The narration on this book sounds like preteens reading it. The writing is absolutely awful. I have zero triggers so it is not that I was triggered on being the reason I cannot finish this book. It’s just written so horribly and being narrated so poorly that I turned it off. I am so disappointed that I willingly paid money for this after waiting so long to own it. This is not the first book by this author that I have attempted to read or listen to and every one of her books I have put down and never picked up again because they are all written the same. I’m sure there is a child out there somewhere who could write a better pitch black bookthan this author. Mind you pitch black is subjective and to me her books are barely a light gray after that. I now know to not ever waste my money again on this author, just for the simple fact that her writing is horrendous.
