Not as good as the first book
The first book (lights out) had thrill and romance whereas this book feels a little lame. This book would probably be great if you’re really into mafia romance books. Love that the fmc is so open and honest about her sexuality but after a while the story started to feel repetitive in my opinion. In all honesty I should’ve just read the first one again instead of buying the second one
Waiting, not so patiently, for the next one
Listen, I’m not a romance reader. Let’s get that out there. But, this series has me hooked. Seriously. The characters are relatable and feel real. I’m not here for the spice, cool that it’s here, just not my thing, but I love a good story that draws me in and keeps me hooked from the start to the plot, characters, side characters, and classic comedic timing. This book has done all that and I can’t wait for the next one!
No story just kink just for kinks sake
Characters feel one dimensional. Storyline is basically nonexistent- a book for those who just wanna read/hear about kink play. So if that’s what you’re looking for, you’ll probably like it but I want characters that I care about and a story that I’m invested in, with the spice as a bonus or complimenting the story.
First book is much better. Didn’t finish the second - probably won’t start the third.
