Couldn’t Put It Down
This is my favorite in the series so far. I was pulled in from the start and did not want to put the book down. The mystery is has a multitude of twists and turns to keep the reader entertained and guessing who the murderer is. I love Hawke's character. He is a strong protagonist, but the recurring secondary characters are just as strong and necessary to the storyline. Since Hawke's usually prefers to work alone with his animal companions, it was nice to see how he handled having a partner. Especially a partner that he didn't want. This made for some entertaining scenes.
I listened to the audio version of this book. The narrator, Larry Gorman, is great. Mr. Gorman does a fantastic job of bringing Hawke and the other characters to life.
All thoughts and opinions are my own, and in no way have I been influenced by anyone.
