He chose us, we didn't choose Him!
All questions can be answered to those who are of the Arminian or semi - palagian persuasion. Using John 6:65 and John 6:44 as well as Jesus speaking to Nicodemus, RC makes it clear of man's moral inability to choose Christ by his own fallen free will. References from Jonathan Edwards and his book on free will were helpful in enforcing his view. Romans 9 and Jacob and Esau also emphasizes that God's choice is made not only before we are born but not based on whether we do good or evil. Wonderful book for anyone wrestling with this doctrine or for those who already accept that salvation is 100 percent of God's grace and 0 percent man. He chose us, we didn't choose Him!
