Discover the world of the Shadowhunters in the first installment of the internationally bestselling Mortal Instruments series and “prepare to be hooked” (Entertainment Weekly). City of Bones is a Shadowhunters novel.
When Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder—much less a murder committed by three people covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. And she’s more than a little startled when the body disappears into thin air. Soon Clary is introduced to the world of the Shadowhunters, a secret cadre of warriors dedicated to driving demons out of our world and back to their own. And Clary is introduced with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is almost killed by a grotesque monster. How could a mere human survive such an attack and kill a demon? The Shadowhunters would like to know…

Perfection of story and narrator
Not only is the book itself amazing, but the narrator is perfect as well. The characters are all fleshed out well. There’s not a single one I find annoying. Each one without exception has their own hidden battle, and I can’t wait to read more after such a plot twist. The narrator gives each character a distinguishable voice with an appropriate accent, and she is the first narrator to do so that is not at all cringy. She reads quickly, some people may not like that, but as someone with ADD it is refreshing for someone to read at the pace my mind works.
Good book
I’ve read this book before so I wanted to listen to it while driving knowing it was a good book. I was really disappointed with the narrator, she made Clary sounds rude and obstinate and overall unlikeable which is a problem for me because Clary is an enjoyable character throughout the series. But again, the book is phenomenal so 5 stars to the author and 2 Stars to the narrator.
Buying it on our phones!?!?!
I think it should be free because no one is going to buy it to just read it in our phones . Btw it’s most likely cheaper in the store. Also we can get it free at the library so why should we buy it???
It’s an amazing book I’ll give u that.
