The hunt for mass murderer Cara Lindstrom is over. FBI Special Agent Matthew Roarke has been working for this moment: the capture of a killer who savagely hunts the worst of humanity. But Roarke remains traumatized by his own near-death at the hands of the serial killer who slaughtered Cara's family...and haunted by the enigmatic woman who saved his life.
Then the sixteen-year-old prostitute who witnessed Cara's most recent murder goes missing, and suddenly pimps are turning up dead on the streets of San Francisco, killed with an MO eerily similar to Cara's handiwork.
Is a new killer on the loose with a mission even more deadly than hers? In the pulse-pounding third Huntress/FBI Thrillers book, Roarke will have to go on the hunt...and every woman he meets, even those closest to him, may prove deadly.

I don’t even know where to begin to write this review. First off, I love this series. These books and the overall story line of Roarke and his struggle to bring in Cara has been riveting. Now that she is behind bars he is plagued with guilt. She saved him and how can he condemn someone who takes out the worst in society? The ones that the justice system lets fall through the cracks, the ones who prey on the weak.
But nothing is ever simple with Cara, while she is awaiting pre-trail a Pimp is killed using the same MO she is currently sitting in jail for. Casting enough reasonable doubt to let her out on bail. Cara is freed, then a string of murders starts, Pimps and Johns, but this time there is doubt. Roarke doubts that it is Cara doing the killing, and the media is attributing these new killings to Santa Muerte. Roarke has 100’s of suspects including Cara, a young prostitute, and mysteries blogger.
Men are once again being killed, bad men, men who prey on the young and the weak. Yet it is up to Roarke and his team to stop it.
Sokoloff unveils a part of society that most people don’t see or even want to know about. I found myself rooting for the killer who punishes evil and looks out for those that “modern justice” has left to fend for themselves. The Huntress....Sara
