**Spoiler** it was good but…
The book was good… until it wasn’t. It leaned hard into the stereotype of lesbians moving too fast—making jokes about moving in, getting married, all of that—and then went ahead and had the main character get married a year later anyway. I was annoyed and and disappointed. I genuinely enjoyed the parts where she was finding herself, wanting to be alone, exploring her independence, and dating. That growth felt meaningful. Having her immediately settle down and get married again completely undercut that journey.
