An Irish mobster. A missing friend. Two loyalties, ripping me apart.

I had a plan.

Get in, get my information, and get out. Easy, right?

Turns out, infiltrating the Irish mafia isn't exactly what I thought it would be. I just wanted a soldier. Someone I could flirt with to get me in the door.

That's when Lachlan Crow noticed me. Problem was, he wasn't a soldier. No, he was next in line for the throne of the Irish underworld. And he was determined to hate me from the outset. My sob story about needing a job? Yeah, he wasn't buying that either.

Too bad for him, I won't let anyone get in the way of my mission.

Who cares if we have some kind of crazy chemistry? He's the worst kind of wrong - and I would never in a million years be with a guy like him.

Because they took her from me, and I'm going to make them pay.

Narrator Review:
This book had several accents and I'm super impressed with Tracy Marks narrating not only different characters but the different accents as well. I enjoyed the audible version of this book and would recommend it.

Story Review:
Crow is a great start to a dark mob series with a complicated story line that was pretty fascinating.

The Irish is in bed with the Russians and one of them has a leak who's betraying them to the Romanians.

Mackenzie, our heroine is searching for Talia, a friend that disappeared a year ago and she believes the Russians are involved. She infiltrates the Irish to get closer to the Russians.

The Russians recognize Mack as being the daughter of a fighter they had killed and they don't want her as a loose end.

Lachlan, our hero and one of the two in line to be a successor for the Irish is asked to keep close to Mack until its time to trade her to the Russians.

Mack has no idea the Russians killed her father and want her as a trade. In the mean time, she is allowing herself to get closer to Lachlan so she can search for Talia.

Both Mack and Lachlan have ulterior motives but there is an instant attraction that just brings these to closer together. As the story unfolds, they are both wracked with guilt over betraying the other.

There is so much going on this story but it's not overwhelming, it just keeps things interesting. I loved both main characters. Mack is fiesty and I love that she knows how to fight. Lachlan is pretty dominant but very protective despite his lack of trust in women.

I loved the start to this series and I'm was invested in all the side characters by the end of the book. I will be moving on to book two.

I purchased the kindle version of this book, however I was given this free review audiobook copy at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
