Publisher Description

With three straight #1 bestsellers and more than 4 million copies of his books in print, the most powerful traditional force in the American media now takes off his gloves in the ongoing struggle for America’s heart and soul.

Bill O’Reilly is the very embodiment of the idea of a Culture Warrior—and in this book he lives up to the title brilliantly, with all the brashness and forthrightness at his command. He sees that America is in the midst of a fierce culture war between those who embrace traditional values and those who want to change America into a “secular-progressive” country. This is a conflict that differs in many ways from the usual liberal/conservative divide, but it is no less heated, and the stakes are even higher.
In Culture Warrior, Bill O’Reilly defines this war and analyzes the competing philosophies of the traditionalist and secular-progressive camps. He examines why the nation’s motto “E Pluribus Unum” (“From Many, One”) might change to “What About Me?”; dissects the forces driving the secular-progressive agenda in the media and behind the scenes, including George Soros, George Lakoff, and the ACLU; and dives into matters of race, education, and the war on terror. He also shows how the culture war has played out in such high-profile instances as The Passion of the Christ, Fahrenheit 9/11, the abuse epidemic (child and otherwise), and the embattled place of religion in public life—with special emphasis on the war against Christmas. Whatever controversies are roiling the nation, he fearlessly confronts them—and no one will be in the dark about which side he’s on.
Culture Warrior showcases Bill O’Reilly at his most eloquent and impassioned. He is an unrelenting fighter for the soul of America, and in this book he fights the good fight for the traditional values that have served this country so well for so long.

Best of his books

Bill O'Reilly can be arrogant, and sometimes even mean. But, in Culture Warrior, he hits the current cultural divide dead on. I am an avowed traditionalist. I have friends who would consider themselves as Secular Progressives. The beauty of this book is that Bill's definition of Secular Progressivism is the same way that they describe themselves. He highlights the key disagreements and makes a strong argument for why Traditional thought must win out if we our to keep the same America for our children that our forefathers experienced (which, by the way, SPs will argue is a bad proposition).

Uncultured Wannabe Warrior

Until recent years, I cared little about what our "leaders" did, nor what their spokespeople said...no matter how bizarre, dividing or unChristian. Now I force myself to listen to every spokesperson, from Al Franken to O'Reilly, Rush and Hannity, so I have all sides. What amazes me is the sheer volume of hate-inducing, fear-mongering rabid storytelling that occurs almost every single moment on these not-news entertainment "shows." Hint: all of their tax returns list themselves as "Entertainers;" look it up. I have to assume by the popularity of these guys that the vast majority of listeners NEVER look up one "fact" so eloquently asserted. Myself, I do, and the more I did, the more stupified I was that people could believe what seems so blatantly obvious as calculated to incite a riot.

This O'Reilly radio show in book form varies little from his shows. He tells you what about 40% of America wants to hear and believe anyway, to be told to them so as to not have to do any actual reading or research into reality. The worst kind of demons divide and conquer whole nations of normally good Christians into camps of hate and violence-filled groups of Children of God. How Patriotic and Christian is that? How much is O'Reilly? He'll make gazillions off our Fear and Chosen Ignorance, and the U.S. will go further down.

Challenge: take 2 or 3 major points/dramatic assertions he makes and do a Google search on them. See how much is accurate by READING & RESEARCHING what you are TOLD to believe. Are we the American People, or Sheeple? If you believe in God and America, it's the only way to prove it.
