Incredible Start to Finish
Dark Beauty by Blake Rudman is an incredible thriller full of twists and turns that I could not put down. It is extremely rare that I come across a book by chance that connects to me on an emotional level. The novel’s plot is very fast paced and the book is broken into three acts. I thought breaking the novel into acts was so clever because the storyline begins at a movie premiere and follows twin actresses. In my opinion, breaking the story into three acts and having each act focused on a different aspect of the novel made the pace feel fasted and helped me finish the book faster as well. The characters were so well developed and complex which made the story so gripping and compelling. I am always very impressed when I can sympathize and relate to the villain, hero, and victim; although after reading this book I’m not sure those terms appropriately apply. I look forward to reading more books by Blake Rudman in the future. He is incredibly talented and I’m glad I came across him.
