Publisher Description
For centuries, man has feared the bat. Its seeming ability to traverse between the worlds has inspired tales of terrible horror but also stories of great hope.
This is the tale of the age-old Bat Man - from Bob Kane and Bill Finger's creation in 1939 to Dracula and even further back into time.
The image and legacy of the bat throughout history is truly emblematic of man's dark side. This is a tale of more than just the incredible success of a superhero; it is also a unique insight into the dark nature of man himself.
Relive the rise of the Batman era, from the very beginnings to the modern age - and in so doing, you'll understand how this creation has taken on a life of its own. The dark nature of our very selves will be explored.
Customer Reviews
Don't waste your money.
This was a poor attempt at exploring the creation of The Batman. It is clear that all Gardiner has done is read a wikipedia page and found an agonizing playlist of metal music. Less than half off this audio "book" is Gardiner reading. 20 Minutes is an excerpt from an old radio show. This was an attempt to capitalize on the success of The Dark Night, and a poor one at that. Buy comic book instead.
