This is a serviceable introduction to DBT, but it has the peculiar flaw of, seemingly, having been translated imperfectly. It is hard to listen to odd phrases that seem to have come from Google translate or a thesaurus. Just one example: the narrator tells us that various topics will be “dilated upon” later in the book. There are many such examples, providing occasion to laugh out loud at times—but mostly serving as an unwelcome distraction. Any native English speaker (including, presumably, the narrator) could have easily helped this author out and made the book a lot more readable—or listenable.
