Publisher Description
Eternal life comes with its own set of problems. Walking corpses wasn’t one of them.
Dorian awakens and discovers the world turned a little bit more...uncivilized.
For a vampire, the old way of things were just that–the old way. And they worked. Hunting for sustenance wasn’t so literal of a term until now.
Dorian’s plight for a simple meal is now a three-way bloodbath between himself, the undead, and a band of zealous humans eager to cut him down.
Years of hunting has made Dorian into the ultimate hunter; a realization humans are about to experience…again.
Run from the dead.
Run from him.
It won’t make a difference.
Everyone’s dead anyway.

TikTok made me do it.
The best way I can describe this book is, it’s a quickie. Please forgive my vulgarity but it’s messy, and the author seems to fumble through action sequences from beginning to the somewhat end. This is definitely not the book you want to read if you romanticize vampires, for this character never does the right thing, as well as the author. Jay Bower seems to break the unspoken rule of writing to which most authors adhere to, “thou shalt not shoot the dog and kill the babies”. And dude, this guy did not just shoot, he blew that puppy up. Gifted as Mr. Bower maybe in writing wet gore and exciting fight scenes, it gets old quick, and it felt unnecessary to repeatedly go ham on the violence that had nothing to do with the story. Unfortunately just like a quickie not all parties were left satisfied. There was no proper ending to this book, in fact this book had no plot, it was merely a brief introduction and a rising action. I understand the need to sell more books as a series, but with little content - the author could have combined all the books to create at least a complete story. I get cliffhangers, but at this point I really don’t want to hang on.
Not good
I know blood is in the title, however I don’t think I’ve ever heard something called out so specifically so many times. Blood this blood that need blood. I thought the book could have potential. Unfortunately, I thought it was poorly constructed.
